this is not a site for getting values , unless a member cares to speculate , because there are just too many unknowns to comment on a fair market price.;)

How much did you pay for it, Kaiserpoo, assuming you actually bought it.

Was it worth what? What did you have to pay, or go through, to get it? :hilarious:
Again, please post all images as full size, not thumbnails. :)

It's been recovered a few times if it's an old one. The bottom looks pretty old to me, but I'm not an expert.

I brought it 40$ at thrift shop on long island ny. When you click on the image it should be full size. I can’t really date it There is no screws I can find just nails holding the chair together

Looks first half of the 20th century to me. Happy to be proven wrong.

  12. What I'd like to know is where you're shopping that you're consistently coming across pretty nice old pieces... I work at a secondhand furniture store and you've more antique furniture in the past week than I have in the past 6 months! :banghead:

  14. Oh yea...they appear to just be run of the mill thrift stores though not flea markets or anything. Just judging by photos I could be wrong. Not that I never find anything neat at thrift stores...but...wow :sorry:

Thanks. I thought about that. I think NY and FL are lucky there are so many diverse people from all over the world bring in different artifacts over the last 200 yrs.

Could be as early as 1865, though hard to tell from these pics. I don't see anything particularly English about this. There is some French detailing but could just as well be American.
