    Hello,

My name is Stacie. I love finding old things and mixing them throughout my house. My mom is very into antique shopping which helped bring about my fascination with antique and vintage finds. The hunt of finding these treasures is half of the magic.

I recently acquired a set of 6 mortar and pestles w/ lion head detailing from an estate sale. I was told they are solid brass and French. Measuring from 1.75" tall to 1.25" tall. I was also told they had been in storage untouched for several decades. I was hoping to put an age to these. What do you think? I was told they were in great condition as was most of the other things in this estate sale. Almost as if the woman bought things but never used them and would store them away. I think your questions can be answered by the sticker. Would/could you post a close-up photograph please?

The tag is in Spanish, but that's all I've got without being able to read the rest.

A Reliquia seems to be Portuguese. If it's a nod to the novel, suggests production of modern fakes.

Company started in 1956, but the store with the name 'A Reliquia' only opened in 1980.
They don't seem to sell them anymore.

Original buyer took the wrong exit road while traveling to Fátima and ended up in Minde :D

That is totally the company, looks like the label. Thank you so much for looking this up for me! I appreciate it. So 50's-80s. They're going on a bookshelf so I was never planning to use them. Thank you so much everyone who chimed in to help me out!

No. The company opened a shop named A Relíquia in 1980. So that's your earliest date.
