Featured HOW OLD AND FROM WHERE IS MY "ZEN"BRONZE BUDDHA

Have this Bronze Buddha 45 cm H 18 and 26 cm W
I suppose the basement as Lotus Flower is missing.
Is this Buddha genuine or fake..?? If Yes from which Asian country it might come from..And how old can he be??
It looks as if it had been gilted before.

Apologies, komo, kyra, and Jacques. Since the last windows update my computer keeps freezing, I keep having to reboot it, so my participation in forum matters is a bit haphazard at the moment.

Your statue is not Zen ( ), but Vajrayana Buddhist ( ), from the Himalayas. (You can tell where my sympathies lie, can't you.)
It is a Bodhisattva, which represents one aspect of the nature of the transcendent Buddha. They can be recognized by their different hand postures (mudras).
If I am correct this one represents the future Buddha, called Maitreya. Maitreya will bring the purest form of Buddhism, at a time when the world has almost forgotten Buddhism. Pure teaching, and pure enlightenment.

The shape of the face looks Nepalese to me. The Bodhisattva was once attached to a double lotus throne, but was taken off by force. A great pity, it is a beauty, and it would have been much more beautiful on a throne.
It looks antique, but it is difficult to tell the exact age.
