How do I get my pictures to up load when creating a new Thread

Hi. I recently joined the site. I have been trying to upload several pictures along with posting a new thread or question. I keep getting an error msg. that states the file is too large. I'm not sure what to do. I've tried adding them one at a time. Help. and Thanks

 

The only way I get it to accept the photos is either crop them significantly which isn't ideal or on my iPad/iPhone the best way is if I email them to myself and choose 'medium' when it asks what size. Then save them from the email and then they will load to the site. Bit of a faff but it works.

 

Or you can use an online resize app like this one:

If they are on your computer, you can right click and select resize. Select medium and then upload them Please be sure to click full image for all, so we can see your item well. Good Luck. Most new people go through this.

Sure. Glad to help. Most of my older photos are on my PC. Recently I had to buy a new laptop with one Terabyte of memory to hold them all.

 

I crop and re-size my images in Paint. Program should be on most modern computers.
