I've got this three part bowl with what looks like a strainer in it and I'm too ignorant about Victorian tableware to accurately describe it in a listing. I think it's Victorian but could be wrong as usual. would someone please elucidate me?
Forgot the size - it is 14cm round and 10 high.

Not sure. They are usually a stemmed thing. Might be designed to drain something or maybe hot water is in the bowl and the steam keeps something warm.
Those drain holes a pretty wonky.

Handmade by someone who did not know or care that neatness counts. It's still functional. ;)

No size noted, but it looks to be a fairly usual butter dish with ice drainer- as the ice melts, the water runs through and the butter stays relatively dry instead of doing the back stroke in the resultant puddle................

It's a soap dish. Went with a wash bowl and pitcher.
Not meant for a dinner table, meant for a commode.

Not really, 4-6 inches sounds about right.
Soap wasn't bought in bars. It was hand made, rolled in balls, or cut in pieces.
