    Hi all,

Saw this machine this morning, and found it quite interesting, but not certain about the use.

Was it used to heat up and develop photos? Or was it used as a press of sorts?

    Thanks in advance!

Think I may have found it, or something similar.

Seems my initial suspicion of it being used for photos may have been correct (must have seen something like it in a book at some point, and a part of me remembered...)

"Glanspers" translates as "Gloss Press" so I would suspect it performs some function in the finishing process - smoothes the surface of glossy photo prints?

Seems it was used to add the "gloss".

Got this in reply to my email to the cameramuseum:

Sorry, don't know why the reply didn't copy. Here it is:

    Hello Alta,

This was used to make prints glossy after developing.

    With kind regards,
