Thanks to @wiscbirddog - the mystery is solved. It is clearly a Hobbs Dew Drop vase.
When I search for hobnail Vaseline glass vases, my screen fills with Fenton. This 6 inch tall yellow and opalescent colored hobnail vase has a deeply indented polished pontil scar, which to my understanding is not a Fenton characteristic. So I need help finding the maker. Other helpful, I hope, observations are:
    1. The top ruffle is not Fentonesque, as I know it
    2. There is a clear rim on the top
    3. The hobnails are not rounded, but pointy
    4. The base has a ring of hobnails on which the vase sits
    5. There is an inner ring of hobnails around the pontil scar
Any thoughts, comments or ideas appreciated.

Glad I could help a tiny, little bit.

Love the contrast of the opalescent & clear wavy edge.

Tall beat me to it, that's exactly what it is, a No. 323 celery. It (No. 323) was introduced in March of 1886. In August they ran a small ad in Crockery & Glass Journal for what they called Pineapple and Dew Drop (No. 323). The name didn't stick, it's now called (erroneously) Hobnail. (What they called Hobnail, we now call Daisy & Button).

This is wonderful detailed information. You even know the month it was first produced! Once I found it on line with wiscdog's help, I saw one being correctly called Pineapple and Dew Drop. I wish I could change the title from Hobnail, but hopefully, interested learners will scroll down and find your correction. Thank you very much.

It spoke to me like old glass does in the resale shop. Thank you.

On Tuesday I saw a Zoom talk given by a couple who are big Hobbs collectors and they showed your celery vase, same color. They said Hobbs patented a machine crimped edge (rather than hand crimp), it looks like what you have there :)

Boy. That's so interesting. I can see now that you mention it, the crimping is very regular for a hand made piece. Great you saw this talk about the Hobbs pieces. Was it uploaded to youtube? Thank you.
