Don't know how I did it but I got the image loaded. It was giving me an error for it being too large. Anywho.....Please help me with what I have. I thought it was a poster for a movie or play but now I am thinking it is something to do with music. The pencil signature reads Paul Sifler. The picture itself is a print but I forget what type of print this is. I have so much to learn in this area. It measures roughly 11 1/4" x 8 3/8" inside the matte. It has a few areas of damage but someone thought enough of this to have it framed. Any and all help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you all and Happy holidays!!

I wonder if it may be a cover to a book of sheet music perhaps.

I think it's the cover of sheet music for the song - circa 1928. Leo Feist New York was the publisher. A quick google search shows Paul Sifler as......

.....born as Pavel Šifler 31. december 1911 in Polhov Gradec (Ljubljana, Slovenia), † 20. may 2001 in Hollywood. American composer, pianist and organist.

Agree, a cover for 1920's sheet music. Some of those old sheet music covers have great graphics. Doesn't surprise me that someone might have framed it.

A quick search does show a Paul Sifler as a composer, whether it is the same Paul Sifler or not who signed this, is hard to say. It might have been his personal copy for study. If yes and above birth date is correct he would have been 17 years old. Maybe he was learning this piece on the piano back then?

Maybe it was Paul Sifler's copy? It's probably some sort of offset, if it's sheet music.
