Sadly lost my Mum recently and having to sort her affairs and the house and contents. Came across an oil lamp that I would like info on if possible?
I will take myself across to the china department!

    Welcome to the forum NextMove.
Very sorry to hear about your Mum, it must be a difficult time for you.
Sorting through everything is arduous. It can make you sad, but there are also so many fond memories with the things you come across. Good luck.

Thank you Any Jewelry. My Mum was a hoarder, same as my Dad before her. It's been a bittersweet few weeks, trying to pack up her things, then seeing bits that bring back memories. I had to do it with Dad's things too. Many tears have been shed.
It has also been arduous and made me determined that I wont leave lots of 'stuff' for my children to have to sort through and find a home for!

Thank you pearlsnblume, KingofThings and Christmasjoy.

I was very lucky, both parents long lived, Dad 88yrs and Mum 95yrs. Tough generation, my Mum was an Auschwitz and Mathausen survivor.

Wow, that is awesome in the true sense of the word for not only surviving but continuing her life afterwards. It still amazes me when I think that it was really not that long ago.

Thank you A.Jefferson. Sadly, her brother died in the war, he was a partisan in the Dolomites, Italy, where they were both born. Very proud of my family :)
