I got this cut glass vase from an estate and I noticed a mark on the bottom. I am not sure if it is a mark or just an error. I don’t know who made it or what country it’s from. The mark is just a line imprinted in the glass. I hope you can help with this. Thank you in advance for your all responses and stay well please.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Hi @ezeepass, Your piece looks lovely, but I don't know most cut or pressed glass from oranges!!! So will let others dissect it....could you give some dimensions please?? But I sharpened your whole image a bit.....not sure I improved it though.....you may need a plainer background.....

Is there supposed to be a mark in those pictures somewhere?

The bottom of the glass in pic #1. As I stated that I didn't know if it was a mark, but it looks like one. That is not a scratch. I can try to get a closer image.

IMHO..it is pressed and the "mark" is a flaw..not a siggie.

I have a question about where it's from. would you say it is more from here in the states or more of Bohemian style vase. Thank you

As Janette said Not cut glass.
Looks like American pressed glass. 1890s up to maybe as late as the early 30s.

The mark is what they call a straw mark, done when molded. A flaw of sorts, but not really considered a big deal.

If listing just say some thing like - Has straw mark on bottom from the molding process and show the picture you have.

Reminds me of modern glass from eastern Europe. The bulk is molded with just enough gray cutting(unpolished) to get past customs at the cut glass rate.

Don, I don't think there is any grey cutting.

The cross hatching looks gray to me in the photo.
