Another storage unit find. Roll top desk, VERY heavy. No marking but does have a little light and ungrounded cord/plug in. Sny idea of wood type, age, value? 20211003_171531_copy_756x756.jpg 20211003_171536_copy_756x756.jpg 20211003_171541_copy_756x756.jpg 20211003_171555_copy_756x756.jpg 20211003_171541_copy_756x756.jpg 20211003_171551_copy_756x756.jpg 20211003_171546_copy_756x756.jpg 20211003_171630_copy_756x756.jpg 20211003_171607_copy_756x756.jpg

Not horribly old but not new either. Looks good and solid.

Not very attractive and looks like a cheaper ‘reproduction’ at first glance. Looks newer to me (maybe 1980’s or so) Maybe stained/varnished pine or something (but Im no furniture expert,so might be very wrong) Wait for the members that really know their furniture :)

I have one just like it
Dad bought it...stained it and gave it to me
it's now a time capsule.....full of my stuff and papers and files and vintage collectables ...from the 1980's....

So, not very old, or the best design, or particularly valuable, but it still is a very useful piece of furniture, keeps papers, computer, and everything else covered when not in use, and with a good cleaning and waxing is more than likely to improve its appearance substantially, and if you did't pay too much for it maybe not a bad deal.

They're solid and weigh too much to move. I forsee them going along with house sales, like pianos. Let the buyers deal with them.:grumpy::happy:
