This came in an auction lot and I have no idea what it is.

It's a cast brass reindeer with a saddle and reins and a parasol topping it all off.

It's mostly flat, so it doesn't stand up. It doesn't have any rings to hang it from.

    What the *&^% is it? 100_5270.JPG 100_5269.JPG

Jolly Old St. Nick is serious on safety. It's a little-known fact that Santa's sleigh and each reindeer are equipped with parachutes. :cigar:

They each have a turbulence bag too,but no room for even carry-on.

Exactly what I was thinking. It's a bit early yet.

Maybe that is Rudolph with his nose so bright, he required a parasol to take down the glare.
Whatever it is, it is cute.

Is that what they're called? When I began using commercial air travel, inna late '50s, they were (probably waxed) paper, printed "Air Sickness"...everyone called 'em barf bags. Modern times, putting lipstick on another pig.

I'll post it on the Golden Glow of Christmas Past facebook page and see if anyone can identify it.

It looks like it might be some creative person's assemblage- the saddle appears to be added, with no reason for it not to have been included in the original casting if it was meant to be there.

I thought the same thing when I looked at this picture. But I looked at it with a magnifying glass and it's nothing.

I've been wondering if it's a highly stylized palm tree, but each time I reconsider this: nope! I guess this from the texture of the "stem" of whatever umbrella it is.

Thanks, curious to know what the truth of this little reindeer is?
