    Hi All

    I m new to this site and the antiques industry, but seem to be learning very quickly.

    I am looking for a lid for a Herend Bon Bon, that we had in storage for a client and it got damaged.

    (takes a deep breath)

    and was then thrown away, by whom, no one seems to know!!

    I will try and get a photograph of the piece but my best description is below

    It is a Herend Chinese Bouquet/Apponyi Green Double Rose Bon Bon lid.

    The items is marked up on the 'replacements' website as a 4" Oval Bon Bon with lid. see link below.

    https://www.replacements.com/webquo...jVt24jpHcemD5VA8AzoeJAIo+rl4+vdo+SPnXOf6DQ==#

    I would be interested in buying the whole piece, but preferably just the lid. The lid has to be in perfect condition.

    Anyone?

    KR

    Walt.

    If the one on Replacements is correct I would order it. I find none on my usual auction sites and comparable pieces have equal or higher starting prices that I am finding. Finding just the lid would be a miracle. That will be the most often broken piece of the two.

    Edit: I understand now. Replacements does not have it.

    If cluttered's suggestion doesn't work I would also try to see if the customer would accept a substitute as buyingtime suggested. There's a cream and sugar set in this pattern on eBay now at $85.00 with a best offer. If the customer would accept the covered sugar you may be able to recoup some funds by selling off the cream. Fortunately it doesn't appear that this is one of Herend's more expensive patterns.
