I picked this up the other day and it seems to be a rarer city. It is a 1915 patent Coca Cola made by the Root Glass Co. model number 1EN.

One side seems to be worn much more than the other and there are dirt marks on the neck portion. I am thinking this bottle was partially buried in maybe a creek? The worn side was the exposed side?

Anyhow this bottle has a date code on it and it is either a 20 or 26? I can't tell as the right side is worn and is very hard to see. One thing that was noted to me is that if it was a 1920 bottle the glass would be full of bubbles? I also read that glass manufactured after 1920 rarely have bubbles in it. Well my bottle is full of them. When I look at another bottle I have that is 1926 it has no bubbles in the glass at all. Any thoughts?

You might want to contact the Adams County Historical Society in Hastings. Some communities take pride in the Coca-cola bottling plants and it's possible records exist in Adams County the might be interesting even if they can't answer your specific questions. Until very recently we had a Coca-cola bottling plant here in Terre Haute. There are folks in this town who could tell you anything you want to know about the history of Terre Haute Coke bottles and old Terre Haute Coke products bring much interest at local auctions. Could be the same in Hastings.
