Help with this Nippon mark I can't find.

Hope it's not a fake mark but i can't even find it in the fake marks listings. i need your help @Bakersgma

Wow. I wish I could say I knew it right off, but that would be a lie. Have you looked on Gotheborg already?

I just got home from the shop (and it was well worth going, as shocking as that may be in "Very Unhealthy Air for Everyone" conditions.) I need a snack that I didn't have time to eat we were so busy!

 

Well. I did not find this exact mark going through Gotheborg. And I assume your reference to "fake marks listings" are to those discussed in "Fake and Forged?" If your concern is that it might be fake, I don't think so, given what looks like honest wear on the lower part of the cup.

 

The Nippon collectors group on facebook says it is real and called Mt. Fujiama. I have found two pieces so far lol

 

This mark is shown as #154 on page 146 of Collector's Encyclopedia of Nippon Porcelain Sixth Series by Joan F. Van Patten.

The only information given is "Mt. Fujiyama hand painted Nippon".

 

I am going to assume (as usual) that this is definitely pre 1921
