    Hey folks,

Attached are a few photos of another tool (?) that we discovered while sorting through our museum's inventory. I placed a pen in front of it for scale (my tape measure went MIA on me) If I track it down, I can update this with proper dimensions.

Anyways, it's a steel T shaped item with a hard plastic pulley wheel fastened to the middle of it. There are two small holes and a rectangular hole at the end that either has a strap fastened through(?)

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Casey,
It's in pretty rough shape. Is there and patent numbers or logo anywhere? I know plastics are recent 25-40 years because of durability issues so I'm going to guess this article isn't real old.

    Hi Michael,

Unfortunately not. It's in rough, corroded condition. I don't have it with me at the moment, it's with our summer students, but I can try taking another look at it. Cheers!

I thought for a minute maritime use due to the corrosion or at least an environment where a lot salt is present?
