Could someone tell me what these pieces are & the approximate value? They have both been refinished. I think the one piece is called a wash stand. They are both about 100 years old. IMG_20161101_112931140_HDR (Medium).jpg IMG_20161101_113016069 (Medium).jpg

    photo's of the back...underside, inside of cabinet...sides of drawers...legs , hardware...ect....

they are both very nice.....but in many area's brown furniture is a tough sell , and refinished....can hurt or help value....depending on it's nature.

Your buffet is early 20th century. Might be walnut but really looks like cherry with a brown stain added. The washstand is considerably older. More like 1860. Can't tell the wood on this one. As mentioned, brown furniture is out of fashion these days and value is subject to location and selling venue. For example, in my semi-rural midwest location, I would expect both these to sell for less than $100.00 at auction and probably less than $200 at retail. Big cities or other locations might do better (or worse).
