Help With These Asian Textile

    No idea on these. Picked them up cheap, been laying around since. Out of my wheel house, any ideas on them? Thanks

    Try a google search for "Chinese silk embroidered panels". They look fairly modern.

    Thanks, I see what you mean by modern looking. Anyone here translate Chinese characters, and/or does anyone know what photo 4 depicts?

    I think the first panel and the third one relate to the Eight Immortals and their attributes. (I do see there are nine figures on the first panel - perhaps one is a servant.) The third panel seems to be a basket holding many of the Immortals tools - a fly whisk, sword, gourd of medicine, fan, peach, etc.

    The outline of the figures in panel one appears to represent a couple written characters.

    I believe it is a symbol for longevity known as "Shou". Here is an old one...
