HI, long time no see. But at least I need who to ask.
    Will really appreciate any help.
What is the name of one item on the right. And what is it used for. Really stumps me. MVC-123F.JPG

The above set is by Stanley Roberts and named Lady Beatrice. Made in Japan.

The item on the right is a ladle, probably for some kind of sauce or gravy. How long is it?

If it's 6.5 inches long, it's a solid gravy ladle (according to Replacements.)

Bakersgma, you're first as usual. Yes, the odd piece is 6 1/2. Bigger other ones are 8".
My curiosity is why that design. OK, you can dip it in the gravy boat and turn it LEFT OR RIGHT to spread on its recipient. WHY THE TWO CHOICES??? Are others around that have that shape? If so, it's the first I've ever seen. Feels and looks odd when hold.
And thanks very much for the help.

It is not an uncommon shape.

Are you left handed or right handed? Might determine which side you pour your gravy from.

Because people come in three "dominant" hand types -- left-handed, right-handed, and ambidextrous. ;)

I was composing/typing while others were giving you the "answer" to your "ladle" question.;)
