I found these at a local thrift store & liked them immediately - I also immediately thought "Haitian" until I looked at the straw roof building in background & the dug out canoes - maybe African?
Can someone tell me who the artist of these is & where they are from?
    Thoughts on them?
    Thank you!

    Aahhh!
I see Gucif or Gucef? when I look at the names; which sounds more french than cuban to me; probably why I first thought Haitian (their creole language is a mix with french + the bad canvas which I find a lot with Haitian paintings) - as long as I didn't pick out more factory/china paintings!

The first certainly looks like this landscape in Cuba. The Viñales Valley.
