Help with S.A.W. Necklace Please?

    Hello my esteemed jewelry ladies,
I have some questions on this necklace that has come in with a consignment estate, please. It's marked on the back SAW 925. I can not find any info on that maker/designer. Does anyone know that company? And if it is sterling, why is it gold colored? Can I call it gold-plated? The snake chain is gold-filled. Also, can someone ID the pink stone? The other is abalone, correct? The piece is 1" H.

    Thanks Brains!

Looks like it could be a garnet or tourmaline, there is a S.A.W. jewelry design linked to instagram but I can't access it.

It's pretty new - or at least 90s onwards. I'd think Indonesian made or maybe Indian. I suspect a shopping channel.

    It's gold washed, vermeil.

Found one reference to SAW, with no solution, but they said not SAW Jewelery Design.

Thanks, I'm trying to follow that link, I don't every use Instagram so I'm struggling a bit. I think I found her at Foxtail Jewelry... or maybe not....

With that abalone, Indonesian made is more likely. The brand may not be Indonesian though.

I vote tourmaline for the stone.

The clasp says the chain is gold-filled, if that helps. Raspberry tourmaline wouldn't surprise me on the top stone. I've seen dyed and filled rubies the same color (I borrow a drug reference and call them "stepped on") but tourmaline is a good bet.

Thank you all for your valued input. I'm going around in circles with the maker so it will be deemed "Artisan Studio Made".
My "former" consignment jeweler dumped about 100 estate pieces back on me, so I am going to attempt the steep learning curve and try to list them myself. I bought a metal test kit and a scale. AND I signed up on Bronwen's AMAZING cameo times. com site! My new eBay user name will be "Innocence Abroad". :nailbiting:
I may be calling on you all again soon, I hope that is OK with everyone. I'll send cookies!
