Small cup is about 3 1/4" tall. the mark looks like a crown over a rose with no writing. No other marks or writing.
That's all I know except it is heavy for it's size

Are you sure there are no letters or numbers inside the crowned rose mark? If confirmed, the cup is British (according to Pat's old site. See the first section of the link.) EDIT - Link removed.

You should be able to use the link to web archive (The Wayback Machine) that is at the top of Metalware Forum.

Here's the quote I was directing you to

"The Crowned Tudor Rose mark started appearing on British
pewter in the middle of the 16th century. Since then, many
countries have adopted this symbol for their own marks.
Used in Europe, and in the north of France till the late 19th century.

When letters appear in the crown or on the rose the mark is not British.
Three or more letters also indicates continental European origin."

The mark images given as examples there have very obvious letters which I do not see in yours.

Thanks Sue, I did finally get there. So this might be pretty D old?

Looking at condition of the cup, I'd say no. Pewter can be relatively soft and subject to dings, dents and bends very easily. This one it too clean to be "pretty old."
