Personally I don’t have much knowledge regarding jewellery. It seems to have a hand engraved label “c. c.” attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated

It's a takeoff on an old watch chain, but it's not old. No clue about where it really came from. It's the sort of thing I pick up for a dollar to make into something else, sorry to say.

Very nice photos though. You'll do well here. Everyone has to start somewhere in their learning process, and you have the right idea, just the wrong piece.

The shapes of the links are right, and the dangles are the right shape. The color of the "gold" however is new, and the clasp is 1990s or later. The molding on the links also isn't all that great.

The lobster clasp identifies it as not being terribly old. Here's an antique watch chain to give you an idea of the kind of thing your necklace was based on. Yours has a fleur-de-lis design.

The dangle, of course, has the brand's initials, C.C. I can't identify it and I don't believe it's included in this helpful online jewelry collecting resource.

Your necklace wouldn't have been terribly expensive when new.

And just mentioning, for learning purposes, that the C.C. letters appear stamped, not engraved... and certainly not hand-engraved.
As others have already said, it's antique-styled inexpensive costume jewelry made/sold sometime in the last 30 years.
What country was it purchased in? That may help someone figure out what store/brand the C.C. may be... if you still want to know. :)
EDIT: Here in the Midwest USA, what comes to mind is Coldwater Creek, or Casual Corner, or Charming Charlie, though I have no idea if any used a C.C. mark on their stuff.

The Charming Charlie mark is different; I know that one. It's one C nested inside of another. Coldwater Creek writes theirs out. Casual Corner is a possibility.

This Casual Corner dangle has brand name spelled out in full.
