Apologies for the photo from my screen but this vase appears to be top quality but I can’t identify the potter. I imagine it to be c1900. The monogram looks like a reversed R with a B.

    Any ideas? It’s not Buthaud

    Thanks in advance

@John Brassey, to me that also looks like a reversed Cap R attached to a Cap B, and it looks like a bit of writing on the edge, including an '89', and something I can't really read.....suppose the '89' could easily be 1889?? I'm not a pottery person, but that has very nice colors, and shape!! I inverted & hi-lighted the lettering...at least what I saw of it on the edge......you may be able to see it clearer in hand with maybe some cinnamon........

Looks 1989 stylistically to me. Nice clear monogram. Nice glaze.

I don't know if this is your guy but the mark and general description are promising.

If you want confirmation, and you’re on Facebook, post it on the British studio pottery mystery marks group.
