It appears to be an effigy jar from South America. Here's a Moche example from the Brooklyn Museum.

    Welcome SweetSu.

It is a beautiful effigy or face vessel. I agree it is Peruvian, either pre-Columbian or a very nice replica. Is the bottom flat or rounded?

The face is stylized like Chimú faces. Chimú is a later Moche fase, but their pottery is generally black, whereas Mochica, earlier Moche, is polychrome and the faces tend to be very realistic.
It could be Recuay, a Highland culture related to Moche. Recuay vessels have that more textured surface, but are usually much more intricate.
I would advise you to take it to an expert. Assessing whether pottery is pre-Columbian is a hands-on thing.

I don't really see the similarity, other than that it is a Peruvian face vessel.:sorry:

Is the bottom on yours flat or rounded? It seems like a trivial question, but it isn't.

Thank you. The flat bottom tells you that is a replica?

For this type of pottery it does. That's why I asked. But I must say, it is a very nice one, and people pay for nice replicas.
These are from different regions, but you get an idea:

ABSOLUTELY new. Not old at all. Can't even call it a "replica" because it's not a copy of anything. Just in-the-style-of PreColumbian. The style is wrong, facial features are wrong. Not a bad piece of decorative pottery, but it is what it is.....
