I found this at a friend's used furniture store today. He gets his inventory by buying storage units at auction & anything not furniture he sells to me very cheaply ($10 for this statue).
I've tried googling 16" marilyn monroe statue 2002 Chesa (and Chasa) but all I get are pics & links to a HUGE! Marilyn statue in Conn.?
Has anyone heard or know what company made this? Is it a model or souvenir of the giant Marilyn?
    Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not seeing 2002. Think it is © followed by some letters. What is the name of the place in CT that has the original?

The "Forever Marilyn" statue was created in 2011 and apparently moves around. Currently in Stamford, CT, according to this article. This little one appears to have several differences from the big one.

Definitely not a copy of the colossal Forever Marilyn; the backside is covered on yours. There seem to be statues based on various stills from that scene in the movie. Yours is more like this:

My eyes refocussed & can see it as © 2002 now.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I tend to be seeing ©2002 although the last 2 looks more like a Z, but the other stamp looks to me like 'Chosa'.....with the capitol C going under all those letters.....no matter HOW much I play with it!!!

Found a reference to a bronze statuette of Marilyn by "Rosa" - looks the same, but my computer warned me away from the site "Marilyn Monroe Collectibles Merchandise", so I didn't follow up.
