Help with identifying old jug

    Hi does anyone know what jug this is or how old it is?

    My guess is American. Late 1800s, early 1900s.
    Don't know if you will track the maker, but I would look at East Liverpool potters.

    It has 3/31 written on it on the bottom of it

    Could be a dating code, pattern code decorator's mark. Hard to say without knowing who made it.

    What makes you think the date late 1800s or early 1900s?

    Purely on decorative style I would guess early 20thC.

    I'm looking at the way it was molded, the handle, and the rose decal was a very popular one during that time period.

    I could very well be wrong. As I said that was my guess.
