    Welcome Bryn.
What is the material? The size? Is there a signature or mark anywhere?
Could you show us more photos please, the back, the base, details?
Where did you find it, region, country?

I obviously haven't seen enough vintage SNL.

Doesn't look like soapstone to me but more pictures may change that opinion.

    Thank you.
I found it in a charity shop, so no info I am afraid.
Signature on base looks like ‘RMUOAR’.
The white ‘bruises’ made me think it is soapstone?
    Weight - 1.2Kg
    Length - 19cm
    Height - 10cm
    Thank you.

I'm guessing you're in the UK?:)
That's what it looks like to me too.

He reminds me of an Australian Aborigine, but I can't place the pot he is holding in that context.
