Featured Help with I think Japanese, I think silver lidded thing.

    Not sure what to call it. Lid has the pierced design cut in it.
    It is only 3 1/2" diameter and very heavy. Google says the one mark is for Japanese solid silver?

    Is that cooper/base metal poking through on the inside bottom or just gunk? The underside of the piece doesn’t look like sterling or higher to me but hard to say for sure by eye.
