Featured Help with Dolls Please

Hi All, I need help with 2 dolls that were in a bag of dolls I bought a while ago.
any information appreciated

#1 - I haven't been able to find out the maker, so hoping someone here will know. Composition head, hands and feet, not original hair or clothing, the body stuffing is soft/squishy, 15"H. Maybe this is old body parts used on a new body?













doll #2, about 7 1/2"H, jointed body. No idea what it is made of, very hard and glossy material, maybe some sort of ceramic? no marks that I can see

Both appear to be hobbyist pieces from the 80's -90's when a lot of people took doll making classes. Could also be head to toe repaints of older dolls, but that is unlikely.

Yes, that and the one next to it are why I bought the bag. I've been researching them, quite a sad history on the so called 'Indian Hospitals' in Canada

 

Extremely sad. But a period that shouldn't be forgotten, nor should the victims.
