Help with artist on oil impasto painting

Saw this piece today but did not buy it because 90% of the time I get similar ones they turn to be factory paintings. On the other hand the subject is a bit different from the typical street scenes.
Any suggestions on the signed name( if real but not made up)?

This really is an impasto de résistance.

I doubt the name matters. If it is in good clean condition with a decent frame it would go with the mad-men late 1960s early 1970s retro decor perfectly. The chandelier is notable. The gold glob you detailed makes me want to throw up. Is that suppose to be candles, or a gold what-not behind the raised priest's pulpit in an old church? Oh, maybe that is suppose to be a window?
