    Hi, Folks-
Hope I'm in the proper category here. We bought this outfit a while back not knowing its function or origin. After some internet searching we discovered it to be a Kiseru tobacco box and pipe holder from Japan. (There's no pipe for the 8-1/4" long holder.) A listing on "Trocadero" gave us the most information, identifying the carvings as specific Japanese mythological figures. The few we saw on line that had prices attached were expensive. We'd like to pick the brains of you experts about the age and quality of ours. Each we've seen is a bit different. And any information other than the basic few facts we've got would be a great help. Thanks in advance.
