Featured help with age and maybe wood of china cab

    Hi, I have this cabinet and its very heavy to where it took 6 people to lift. I loved the glass doors design. My son wants it and asked age and wood and beats me. So hoping someone know. It was an awful color and i did strip n stain it but left drawer original color as to show people what it use to be. I just bought it from a drive by for 75.00 cause I wanted one and couldnt afford them at the time 25 years ago. Now my son has me curious to its age and if anyone knows be helpful plus wood type. I would be greatly appreciate ur info or opinions. Drawer is dove tail and put pics in. Back is gold gold plate paint or actual board, but not press wood. Drawer is shown what color the cabinet was.     Looks like 1970s walnut. Thank you for refinishing this piece, it looks SO much better!

    @cats , I agree with the assessment of Ghopper24. I'll bet it looks much better now than when you bought it. And that was a lot of work!
