    Hi,
I received this wonderful vase many years ago. It was brought home by a Merchant Marine from France in the 30s. I do not know if it was new or an "antique" when he purchased it. I sent nine photos to Rago Antiques. I received and answer from Suzanne P. who just started with the firm. She said it was a Weller-Sicard vase made here in the states and worth 300 dollars. Which we know is wrong on all points. She is now one of the main owners of Rago and seen on the Antiques Roadshow. I shown it on eBay and was told it was from the 1960s made by Emile Sicard, another BS story. What I would like to know when it was made. It is 6 and 5/8 " high. Since we have so many European
members I am hoping someone knows.
    Thanks,

    Hi Anundverkaufen,
I am confused is Vallauris an area or a company. I googled it and it is a city with many potteries. So you are saying that I will never knew for sure. Anyhow I love the vase no matter if old or antique. Thanks

It's a commune in the south of France, your vase is signed by François Sicard who worked at the BACS workshop 1912-1914.
BACS = Barole, Alexander, Carle and Sicard.

    Hi,
I want to thank anundverkaufen and evelyb for their hard work tracking this wonderful vase for me. I saw newer ones but they all had cities painted on them and just did not look right. Thanks again.
