I would like to have your help to identify this candle holder which I believe is German or Austrian. Probably early 20th century. It has a pine cone candle holder and a flame along the trunk. the only inscription is in German "geschutzt" (protect).
    Thanks again 1.jpg 3.jpg

a simple "geschützt" would point towards Austria. it does not touch me as of Jugendstil/Wiener Secession era because it looks spray-painted iron.
these fixing nuts were later as well.
where did you get it ?

I'd call it "radiator paint"; it's the silver paint I'm used to seeing on 1930s jewelry.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Nice design... I wonder whether the paint was original, or added later? Anyway, maybe it could be touched up.
