Help with a belt.

    Can anyone help me with this one? Friend is asking me and I really don’t know what to say....said nothing about markings etc...
    Is it just a crappy belt? Lol

    Things like this were popular for a while in the later 60s. Maybe others will know if they were also on the market at other periods. Inexpensive, you wore them with your hip hugger bell bottoms. :)

    It's later than that, look at the lobster claw clasp. Bit of a revival in the early 90s, then early 2000s.

    Turn it over.....look very carefully for a maker or mark...."could" be silver, but who knows!!!

    It's a bit too "smart" for boho. In the late 60s, we wore them with rather tailored mini skirts and dresses.

    It looks out of place with the rest of it & I did wonder if it was a replacement. But if they came back into fashion after 1975, I wouldn't been aware. Sort of hippie trail thing, Marrakesh Express.

    Agree that the lobster claw clasp dates this to more recent. Would not expect a silver marking with this type of clasp. Looks like pressed metal. I think they are trying for a nod to a retro look with that rhinestone in the center.

    Pretty, but I couldn't pull this one off at my age.
