Help w/ID Sepia Tone Watercolor Painting of Old Timey Baseball Pitcher

    hi everyone. i bought this last week at a thrift store. the frame was falling apart so i took it out. this painting measures 15.75"x14". i think it looks like Walter Johnson, but who knows. the only thing written on the back is the date of "8/13/79." I can't quite make out the signature, and all of my attempts at researching what i think i'm seeing have come up wrong. any help in identifying the artist would be greatly appreciated...thanks

    That does appear to be an amateur work by someone working from a photograph.
