    Don't sell it, use it. I bet the lens is as good as or better than anything for sale now.

    Best gauge of market value for just about anything is to search completed sold listings AUCTION format. Then check the bidding history. Ignore the winning bid and the backup bidder. The 3rd place bid amount can be safely used as what the item is “worth”. Check it on the most recent handfull of sold listings and find the average

    now, if it’s a genuinely rare item without much data to analyze, well, that’s when you have to let your “gut” express it’s opinions
