Help on this vintage, multi-strand bracelet pic heavy

I have never seen a bracelet like this one. I was thinking it’s older but then it almost had the made to look older look to it. The construction of it makes me think it is a nicer piece. The center measures almost 2” and its approx 6 3/4” long. I just realized there is a sport ring on the broken safety chain. Maybe that helps with a date?!

any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Hi Gauntlett, good to e-see ya! The flattened links of the safety chain doesn't look very old to me although it could have been added later, but neither does the rest, but please wait for the opinions of the jewelry ppl. It sort of looks like a bauble buckle or pendant repurposed into a bracelet?
