Help on a hall mark

Hi All
I bought a fork the other day whick could be silver but I am not sure.. The two markings on it are extremely small to take a photo.I could see that first marking which has a a capital G and a capital C and a justice scale in between.I couldn't read the second marking which are some letters I think.Can anyone suggest what hallmark is G and C with the justice scale in between and if it suggests its silver nature?I have taken two pics of the front and back of the fork which shows its design motifs.

I believe it may be Christofle Cutlery 1844-1859 silverplate

It could very well be it. Now comparing with your link I check that it C and C not G and C.Also the obscure letters in the secondbmarking seem to form Christophle.But there is one difference ..my piece has only two markings but in the link it is three I.e year of production is missing in my case..Also I could not make out the number( silver proportion) underneath the justice scale as it is too tiny..I will have to check that again....maybe my piece has not been documented in the article if it deviates in the number of the markings or it is a later work... In any case thanks for the big help!
