IMG_0055.JPG IMG_0057.JPG IMG_0053.JPG Does anyone know/have a theory as to what these beautiful tribal ornaments are? Very little known about them as a starting point, so any help greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    Rory

The items with the glass(?) inlay look Himalayan to me, but you say they are tribal. Which means you probably know more about them. Could you tell us what you know?
    Are they bronze or brass?
The long one has a coppery look, which could be important for determining a possible origin that you may not be aware of.

And please post more photos of details, like the ornamentation. Also of the backs please.

You didn’t say the size, or show both sides. These look neither tribal nor bronze/brass to me based on your pics. From what I see, these look like recent Asian resin. More closeups and more info will tell.

What are the stamps (letters) on the copper(?) bar across the circle?

It would be nice to see the other side, too. These look Nepalese, the one could be a lotus flower with a book scroll in the blossom, the other item looks like the blade of a sword, and the third piece may be an earring or something... They could be items held by a bodhisattva figure, likely Manjushri?

Thanks for enlarging the pics for us @wiscbirddog .:)

@Mat nailed it, Manjushri's flaming sword, missing a hilt, his lotus flower, and a single earring.
The red and blue glass cabs are often seen in Nepal, but not exclusively there.
I would still like to know the main material though.

Anyway, the pieces are definitely not tribal.
Nepal is a kingdom, as are/were most of the other Himalayan countries. Tibet is the 'odd man out': until the Chinese invasion it was a theocracy, ruled by the Dalai Lama.

    Nepalese Manjushri:
