Greetings, Lynn! I think it will be very helpful for us to see a full image of each etching.

Yes, please. The location could wel be key to identifying the artist.

One or two should be sufficient. It could be a set - images of a particular place.

edit: the images you have now posted will hopefully be sufficient to at least identify the place.

Sorry for duplicates. Having trouble navigating media on my iPad. I have spent weeks on the internet finding nothing. Thank you for your interest.

So Frankfurt, Nürnburg, Regensburg, Munich. All Bavaria except for the first. Plus 3 other locations not shown.

As this is what Marienplatz looked like after the war, have to assume they're idealized pre-war images. Unless it was rebuilt by 1952?

So all Bavaria except for Frankfurt. That's odd. But all the same artist.

Here's Frankfurt Cathedral before and after. So either pre-World War II or nostalgic versions.

This may be a simple unknown street artist. I have seen other forums on other sites where members have some of these, yet nobody can make out the artist’s signature. All those inquiring point to the 1950s for the approximate time of acquisition of the prints. Sad that someone with so much talent couldn’t have a legible signature!

Agree. It's almost impossible to identify the artist of these types of street scenes. Most often they were created to sell as souvenirs. With a Google Image search, you could discover if they were inspired by another artist's work.
