    Hi All,

I bought this cute little chandelier off of eBay and was hoping that one of you might be so kind as to help me with the manufacturer, date or period. The only real tell that I could interpret is that it had cloth wiring before I re-wired it. Please ignore the giant Edison bulbs -- I should have paid a little more attention to the Amazon size description before I hit order!

Thank you in advance for any knowledge you may be able to share.

    Warm regards,

    SST

Id say 30s-40s but I don't think those prisms are the originals .

More likely 40s-50s. I, also, am not sure about the prisms. Can we see how they are attached?

Thank you so much for your responses, johnncb09 and verybrad. I would be surprised if the prisms are original. The hangings on top have a neat little ornament connecting the top and bottom glass pieces (which looks like a 70s imitation of art deco) while the hangings on bottom do not.

The chandelier does have little hoops embedded in it where the prisms now hang. Do you think the hoops could have originally served a different purpose than hanging prisms, i.e., perhaps they were to connect chains between the top and bottom pieces of the light?

Here are two shots of the hanging prisms:

Embedded in the glass? If so, it would be an indication that the shade is supposed to have prisms. Whether or not all the prisms are original probably doesn't matter much.
