I received this set from my grandfather who is extremely knowledgeable about antiques but has never been able to find this set (that I am aware of). I have also looked and can’t find it around. Granted, I’m new at this, but I was hoping someone here might be able to help me. Attached is the set (the flutes aren’t part of it obviously).

    I appreciate any help!

Welcome Nick. The fact you have a complete set is pretty rare, but from what I can see this is a mass produced item of not especially high quality. Pretty enough, but not especially valuable. Just my opinion and I could be wrong so wait for others.

"American made & marked by the K.T. & K. Co. = "Knowles, Taylor and Knowles Co." of East Liverpool Ohio. (est. 1854 to 1929)

Eagle under Monogram bottom Marks for K.T. & K. Co. with Semi - Vitreous Porcelain surround are circa ????, using first date system with last number designating the Year."

So, MADE IN U.S.A. :cat: I don't know what year, I didn't use their date system.

Right, I just can’t seem to find this pattern anywhere to get an idea of worth. Not planning on selling it as it’s been in the family for a little while, plus I really like the look of it in the house :)

Welcome, Nick - The mark dates the set to 1907 to about 1915. Many of these sets did not have pattern names.

I saw this and looked under toilet set because it sounds like it might be the correct pattern but I don’t see and photos.

I would guess that 1689 is on all the pieces and the number after the slash is different.

    Usually this means:
    The pattern number is 1689
    24 would be the shape.

As noted many of the early patterns were not named. And I would guess that Wash Sets more than likely never had pattern names.

Do you have the wash bowl?

    Hi Nick!

    Welcome to Antiquers........

Lovely set.......as a family heirloom it is priceless.

Have you checked out completed KTK items on eBay for comparison pricing?

say_it_slowly The worst prison is a closed heart

Replacements shows the Taylor Smith Taylor 1689 pattern (not Knowles)and maybe you can tell if the pattern is similar to yours. It's what came up when I put in the pattern number and doesn't look right to me.

It's funny where your head goes sometimes. I've been engrossed in trying to select items to remodel for a bathroom and every time I look at your post I read toilet seat instead of set:rolleyes:.
