Most of you probably won't appreciate me posting this here but I need a professional to appraise this for me.

This newspaper from 1939 September 3rd was published by my local newspaper 'Nottingham Evening Post' now known as 'Nottingham Post'

It was found in a old cards/games table dated around 1930-1940's

It is only a foldout piece of the paper, whether this is the full newspaper or just 1 foldout from it, I don't know.

After I wrote this i tried to upload the pictures but they're too large, anyway i can resize or leave a email and I will email you.
EDIT: The paper doesn't feel like modern newspapers, slight dis-colour and ware, but in good condition. Size: 24inches x 16inches. The title of the paper 'England is at war with Germany' surrounded by many articles about the war at current times, local ration distribution details ect ect

    Kind regards
    Bradley Green

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

You might want to resize and then use "Upload a file" to insert the photos into a post as a reply to this thread. Some people are not going to want to open the gallery separately. I have also seen people somehow insert gallery photos into a post. I don't know how to do that.

Anyway, I did go to look. My understanding is that individual issues of newspapers don't generally have much value. But there are probably some that do, so don't take mine as the final answer.

    Best wishes,
    Fig

    Thanks for the response Fig
I was mostly wondering about authenticity rather than value. Would you consider it to be real? I've no clue about these kinda things

Unfortunately, I don't know much about how to determine the authenticity, especially from online photos. You might try doing some web searches to see if you can find any others where that single issue is listed separately. If you do, they might indicate that that issue has been reproduced.

Also, often reproductions will have some indication printed on them that they are copies. It might be fairly small, and on the back or bottom or inside. Can you see anything like that?

There are lots of reproductions not fakes.
They were issued to commemorate anniversaries of the war by several newspapers.
However originals do turn up quite regularly, I have found many in house clearances in the past and I see a few at auctions.
They don`t fetch much money I`m afraid.

    Thanks for the responses guys.
I spent all night researching and it seems to me, to be legit and I've studied it and there is nothing to indicate that it is a fake or anniversary reproduce. As for the value, it will only go into my novice ww2 collection.

Also I have from my great grandfather a book from who he said to my grand dad was from Charles Darwin, the book is green with a fancy golden pattern on. On the origin of species. Anyone interested i'll post images.
