Candlestick 1.jpg Candlestick 2.jpg Candlestick 3.jpg Candlestick 4.jpg Candlestick 5.jpg Candlestick 6.jpg Found this recently, brass candlestick, about 9cm high by about 8cm wide.

Looks handmade, some old lettering on the bottom which I can't make out, file marks to the base, the surfaces of the candlestick are also probably hand carved, fairly worn, little bird in the design. Help with identifying it, age, where it was made, etc.

Actually that is the one I bought!

Thinking that it could be solid gold:

Mark of 13K on the bottom?

Green discolouration could be oxidisation, high copper content?

Bird in tracery - a religious motif?
