Hi! I recently went to my local antique shop and found an old copy of Treasure island, publishing company is goldsmith out of Cleveland. The binding is in rough shape, but no pages appear to be missing and I can’t find a copyright date. Just curious if anyone has come across a book like this. Thanks!

Did you look on the back of the title page? That is where the date normally, but not always, appears.

Is there a difference, do any of you know, between goldsmith Chicago and goldsmith Cleveland?

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

All I've been able to find is that the Goldsmith Publishing Company in Chicago existed only from about 1931-1939. The one in Cleveland was issued some copyrights in the 1920s, so it existed first. But I haven't been able to find anything connecting the two, or disproving a connection.
