Hey all, we have this brass reproduction tool marked with a made in Hong Kong sticker on the back. The outer ring has angle measurement from 0-90 degrees. The tool has Roman Numerals on the middle ring, counting 1-12 twice. The very inner piece has abbreviations for each month.

It measures about 4.5" tall & wide.

Curious if anyone has a name for this tool or could tell us more about it. Thanks in advance!

Is that related to a navigational tool, Fakesie?

No, pretty much sold as a novelty; you can tell time with it, approximately, but it is not accurate enough for actual navigation.

And here's a link that shows how to use it. Set your latitude (a link is included to determine your latitude) and the month, aim it at the sun while suspending from the cord.
