Help Identifying This J Maria... How many can there be?

This painting, which seems to have been painted on some sort of burlap, it's certainly not canvas, is signed J Maria. There are many J Maria's that paint like this. Why? I don't know. It certainly isn't Dali.

This is very childish. But, the cat and colors are cool. It's been in the thrift shop for a few months. Today it was 75% off.
