Could anyone help identify these? There are some marks on it:

I barely know anything about this set so if anyone could help me it would be awesome!

Well, it's a set of six spoons (for either tea or coffee - size may distinguish which) and tongs for sugar cubes. Are there no marks anywhere on the spoons?

I assume that the mark in the second picture is from the tongs, and I must say, it's rather odd for the mark to be on the "public side." Nothing on the case?

No marks on the spoons, only on the tong. I believe it's for tea or coffee because they're rather small. The box has no markings either.

    Where did you get these?

There isn't anything about that impression on the tongs that suggests either the kind of metal or country of origin to me. Maybe it will ring a bell for another member.

In the meantime, can you post pictures of the full front and full back of a single spoon?

It almost looks like Cyrillic. I was thinking of that company - is it Germany or Italy? - who makes those collectible spoons. Oh, drat. Can't think of the name. They seem to specialize in the Apostle spoons.

That was my first thought too, Mansons. But the last "letter" doesn't look like any part of a capital A.

I got them at a flea market a while ago in Sweden.

I'll post a picture of the spoons front and back as soon as I get time.

Have run across demitasse spoons like those several times (those I've seen have fancy bowl-backs), can't recall seeing any kind of maker's mark on any before, but believe all have been silverplate on nickel silver base. Most likely European, perhaps Scandinavian, suppose they might be late 19th century, but suspect a bit later...

    Quick online search finds these:

    Set of spoons: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-Set...on-/292209085944?hash=item440904cdf8#viTabs_0

Rings made from spoons, seller says of Danish origin: https://www.etsy.com/listing/513186107/denmark-silver-electroplate-cherub-angel?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=angels%20spoon&ref=sr_gallery_10

Fairly recent thread from here that I must have missed, showing same spoons with 'NS' mark, indicating nickel silver - if Danish, would be 'nysølv', if Swedish, 'nysilver': https://www.antiquers.com/threads/ns-mark-on-spoon.16215/

    Hello everyone!

I just bought a set of spoons like these as well! Kind of a crazy coincidence I think. I was researching their provenance when I came across the earlier thread about spoons like these and was just pointed in this direction as well :)

During my research I found that the spoons look similar to spoons made at the turn of the century by a German fella named Bruckmann - though not identical to his. Funny thing is though.. dun dun dun... I bought my spoons in Denmark as well. Maybe they are old Danish spoons where the design was "inspired by" Bruckmann.
I haven't received them in the mail yet, but they will be here in the next couple of days, and I'll make sure to check for any kind of markings on my set and post some pictures.

My set consists of six tea/coffee spoons, with a very ornate back of the bowl (I've never seen that before) and a cherub face and a coronet, they are silver plate or silver and gilded and are in their original silk lined box. No tongs in my set.

I wonder what's happening with all the tongs. I can't find them anywhere on the internet (except for the pair I got).

My set is made as just 6 spoons - no tongs. At least not in the box with the spoons.
